As my first blog in this strange bloggerie thing, guess the best place to start is of my lovely day today.
After getting the much desired Polaroid 600 Instant Camera yesterday for my awesome university project, it came to my attention that I needed instant film. Oh, this is what the camera looks like by the way:
And I eBay'd it for £15 - bargain!
Back to the film issue - I explored every corner and width of Bath and nowhere sells it because it's 'discontinued'. What a load of rubbish. I mean, I believe them when they tell me its discontinued, but these things are legendary and I remembered I always wanted one when I was little.
I do enough work with camera film already, so if they're still selling, why the heck isn't instant? The most they did was instant film for a Fuji camera in Jessops, but I reluctantly argued "I DON'T WANT A FOOOJIII!" I never liked Jessops anyway. They're shop windows are extremely boring.
So eventually I found this website called The Impossible Project where I was saved as they sell all sorts of rare film and equipment. They were my saviour, or at least I thought until they were going to charge me £25.50 including postage for only 8 shots?!
Gah, people abuse the quality of retro and I want to turn back time and start living in the nineties again. And so begins my odyssey to find instant film for a Polaroid 600 which apparently does not exist.
Anyhow, here's a funny picture I found of old people dancing. Until my next post, enjoy.
